Hi! The Mountain Community School is the reason why I became a teacher. I love teaching and enjoy developing strong relationships with my students. It is a great place to be and I am so very happy.

It is a joy to work at The Mountain Community School because of all the work that has been done to create a nurturing, supportive environment where students can grow in their academic as well as interpersonal skills.

I come to TMCS, and bring my own two kids to be students here, after spending 8 years in wilderness education and 10 years in public education, the last 8 years in special education. I’m certified in middle and high school English language arts as well as Special Education. I enjoy the energy and curiosity that kids have and try use those things to make them life-long learners and help them have fun along the way.
