Teaching is my 3rd and best career! I have taught high school social studies in PA for 27 years. I’m so excited to be part of the Mountain Community School!

I come to TMCS, and bring my own two kids to be students here, after spending 8 years in wilderness education and 10 years in public education, the last 8 years in special education. I’m certified in middle and high school English language arts as well as Special Education. I enjoy the energy and curiosity that kids have and try use those things to make them life-long learners and help them have fun along the way.

I am the elementary EC Teacher. I graduated from Western Carolina with a B.S. in Special Education, have earned a M.Ed. in Elementary K-6, and have received my National Board Certification. I am married and have 5 children, three of them attended TMCS.  I work with children in and out of the classroom throughout the day to meet the unique needs of each student.

My goal is to help students become life-long learners and I believe that all children want to learn. I am proud to be a member of the TMCS team and to be able to work alongside so many talented educators.
