Teaching is my 3rd and best career! I have taught high school social studies in PA for 27 years. After moving to Hendersonville 6 years ago I substituted until I found an EC position at Hendersonville Middle School. I have a Masters in Education and a total of 22 years of teaching experience. When I’m not in school I travel to Beaufort SC or to Pennsylvania to see my 3 grown children: Rachel, Zachary and Andrew. I’ve lived in a variety of places that always elicits the question, ‘Was your dad in the military’? No, in fact he was an apiarist (beekeeper)! Born in Florida but have lived in South Dakota, Texas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Pennsylvania. It’s a long story! I’m so excited to be part of the Mountain Community School!
